Three-phase railway transformers, 3TTK type
Purpose and design
Three-phase railway transformers are designed to supply electrical appliances of railway infrastructure when specific voltage is required. They are also used as components of rail vehicles. The standard design of the three- phase transformer provides fixing by means of angle brackets screwed to the core. Transformers may have several primary and secondary windings. The windings may provide additional voltage tap changers on the supply and load sides. By agreement, transformers can be supplied in IP 23, IP 44 and IP 54 enclosures with power cable routing through cable glands.
