Purpose and design

Three-phase isolating transformers are designed to supply electrical appliances when voltage isolation is required. Isolation is achieved by the use of double-chambered coils or a copper screen between the windings. The design of the transformer provides fixing by means of angle brackets screwed to the core. Transformers may have several primary and secondary windings, and each winding may have additional voltage tap changers.

Transformers can be supplied in enclosures with the required degree of protection.
