Three-phase shunt chokes, 3RTC type
Purpose and design
Three-phase shunt chokes are intended for compensation of reactive power arising during operation of extensive cable networks or other high-power devices with capacitive character of the load. These chokes can operate individually or in complex, tracking compensation devices. Shunt chokes can be made in IP23 rated enclosures. In case of a need for installation of chokes in enclosures with a higher protection class should be consulted with the manufacturer. The method of mounting the chokes, due to the magnetic dispersion field, should ensure electrical isolation from the mounting structure or conductive ground.
